I am honoured to be featured in Jacqueline Novogratz’s Manifesto for a Moral Revolution, a book that explores how business, leadership, and social enterprise can become powerful forces for meaningful change.
In the book, Jacqueline shares my journey from returning to New Delhi after studying in the United States to finding my own path through MasterG and Daughters, a social enterprise built to train women as expert pattern makers, or masterjis, in an industry traditionally dominated by men.
MasterG and Daughters began with a simple belief: that access to opportunity can change the course of a woman’s life. Through training, skills, and meaningful work, I wanted to create a space where women could build not only livelihoods, but also confidence, independence, and a voice of their own.
Jacqueline’s words beautifully capture a philosophy that continues to guide me – that privilege can be used as a bridge, connecting opportunity and resources with communities that have historically been overlooked.
Being part of Manifesto for a Moral Revolution is a deeply meaningful recognition of the women of MasterG and Daughters and of the belief that business and purpose do not have to exist in separate worlds.
